Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise welcomes the executive appointments of Steven Oakley as General Manager and Tasha Wade as Director of Sales and Marketing, signally an exciting change in direction for the hotel.
Steven comes to Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise from QT Museum Wellington, New Zealand, where he was General Manager from August 2015.
He has held various General Manager positions with Event Hospitality & Entertainment since 2008, and has a strong background in all facets of operations, with extensive experience in food and beverage.
Commenting on his appointment, Steven said, “Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise is an up-scale 370 room property that puts the best of the Gold Coast on display.”

Tasha joins Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise as Director of Sales and Marketing and is no stranger to InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), having previously worked as Business Development Director for IHG®, Cluster Sales NSW / ACT.
Tasha brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the conference and events industry, having been Global Sales Manager, Meetings Incentives Conferences and Events (MICE) for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and also, Langham Hospitality Group.
Commenting on her appointment, Tasha said “We have some innovative changes coming to Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise. It’s exciting to be a part of the journey and be back with IHG.”

Steven commenced his position on 31st July 2017 and Tasha commenced her position on 18th September 2017.
