Surfers Paradise has a variety of unique shops plus there are many large shopping centres within 20 minutes of our hotel. Harbour Town has discounted factory outlets, Pacific Fair which is only 1.5km from the hotel and the newest and largest mall on the Gold Coast, offers the best shopping and dining experience. Our Concierge hot tip is to also check out the surf outlets for Billabong, Quicksilver and Roxy, which are just up the road at Ashmore.
Explore local dining and shopping in Broadbeach, an easy 15 minute walk from our hotel. Walk along the beach promenade, to discover Broadbeach’s cafes, bars & eateries. Just across the road is the entertainment hub of The Star Gold Coast.
Surfers Paradise is one of the tourism capitals of the world, so why not take full advantage of all the events from around the town. The upcoming events range from live concerts to markets and everything in between.
Make sure you make the most of the year-round sunshine by indulging in one of the many water activities such as jet boating, parasailing, or scuba diving. Why not swim with the dolphins at Seaworld or go exploring at South Stradbroke Island? There is also a vast array of surf schools operating on a daily basis that will get you up and riding waves!

Carols on the Beach

New Year’s Carnival
A free family friendly carnival comes to Surfers Paradise to celebrate the end of 2017. Enjoy carnival rides and activities along the golden sands of the Surfers Paradise Beach. Finish off 2017 with the Gold Coast’s largest fireworks display on New year’s Eve. See Concierge desk for more details.

Christmas Shopping at Pacific Fair
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is located a short tram ride away from Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise. From Monday 18 December to Monday 1 January, Pacific Fair extend their hours for the silly season so you can spoil your loved ones. Learn more.

Commonwealth Games | April 2018
The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 will be the largest sporting even Australia will see this decade. On 4 April 2018, over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories will converge on the Gold Coast for an 11 day sporting and cultural event. Learn more.
Market Madness with Miami Marketta
Miami comes to life with food from all corners of the world with Miami Marketta, the Gold Coast’s original and unique street food market. Commonwealth Games Trials
Don’t miss your chance to see Australia’s track and field stars battle for their Commonwealth Games spot. The 2018 national championships, which double as the Games trials, will take place on the Gold Coast from 15th to 18th February, 2018. The trials will be held at Carrara Stadium only 15-minutes drive from our hotel.
