Walk Your Way Around Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise is a delight to experience on foot all year-round. There’s no better way to take in the sights and sounds of the ocean, the buzz of the streets, and the peacefulness of nearby national parks, than by walking your way through them. You’ll feel exhilarated, active and fit as you explore the beautiful Surfers Paradise region.

Surfers Paradise Walks

Here’s our guide to the best tracks and trails for you to discover during your visit:

Burleigh Heads National Park

Burleigh Heads National Park is a gorgeous coastal walk. Within the park, you’ll see beautiful natural habitats, rainforests, eucalypt forests and more. It’s tranquillity at its best.

Nobby Headland

If you’re looking for an extra long walk, take yourself past Broadbeach and towards Nobby Headland. Stop at one of the array of delicious cafes or surf clubs for a late breakfast or afternoon coffee.

Walk the Food Track

Surfers Paradise is the perfect place to walk to breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner or dessert. This can be done at almost all times of the day and you’ll find yourself feeling completely relaxed as you leisurely stroll and sample all the culinary delights that Surfers Paradise has to offer.

Federation Walk Coastal Reserve

One of the closest official ‘walks’ to Surfers Paradise is the Federation Walk Coastal Reserve. It gives you a great chance to explore the sand dunes, the beach and the gorgeous scenery as you come down to the beach at the end of the walk. It’s a perfect walk to do just before sunset as you can enjoy the sunset over the beach before walking back.

Beach Walking

Speaking of beautiful views of the beach, you’re pretty much guaranteed this if you take a stroll along the beach. This can be done at any time of the day, but if you want to start the day out right, it’s a great thing to do before breakfast. You’ll be surprised just how bustling the beach is first thing in the morning before the cafes are even serving breakfast.
