“A promise that came from the heart”
Catia and Matthew were married on the 18th of September 2016 at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise.
Find a little more about them and their special day below…
How did you meet?
Matt and I met while we were both studying at TAFE. We both had a similar interest in health so we got along from the moment we met. It wasn’t until 2 years later though that we actually started dating.
How did he propose?
We went on our first overseas holiday to America and on the last day of our trip we went down to Santa Monica Pier and hopped on the Ferris Wheel. When we reached the top he asked the question.
1. Always have a backup. It drizzled on our wedding day (enough for it to soak the ground) but we had the Chapel as our back up option and had umbrellas and a different plan for photos if we needed. It made everything a lot less stressful on the day knowing we didn’t have to try and reorganise anything last minute.
2. Choose amazing people to help. We were so lucky to have ended up with an amazing wedding coordinator, photographer and celebrant. These are your biggest help and the people who will take care of most things behind the scenes and answer the million questions you have leading up to the day. You want them to be good at what they do and understanding.
