Meet the Chef
We would like to introduce you to Jean-Marc, our Executive Chef, who started at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise in May 2012.
Jean-Marc has had a varied career across both hotels and independent restaurants, highlighting his time worked in a Michelin star restaurant in France (loire vallee – Charles barrier – restaurant les neigre), followed with a trip to Australia and landing a lead role in his first Sydney restaurant (Victoire Restaurant – Chatswood) and this allowed Jean-Marc to travel and visit South-East QLD, taking his first steps 25 years ago into the Gold Coast, working for the ANA, Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza Hotels.
Jean-Marc participates in all local food activities and fairs, and has taken part, over the years in developing many talented Chefs. Jean-Marcs’ food passion is now modern-Australian, noting his support of local Queensland produce, working closely with grocers and producers, igniting relationships that support development in both food production and plate finish.
